Miguel is a small soybean producer dedicated to the production and rent of the farm. He lives with Juan, his neighbor and childhood friend, who survives with his small fraction of grass, a cow and a canoe to fish in the river. Both understand life as cycles of nature.

At the center of the story is an amateur female choir of the city of Tikhvin. Each of her participants is an ordinary woman who in everyday life is completely unrelated to the scene.
