Rise

Ceschi and Stamm's documentary tells the incredible story of Monika Krause, a former East German citizen, who became Fidel Castro's Sexual Education Minister. After 20 years in Cuba, Krause set the Cuban sexual revolution in motion: in favor of a woman's right to sexual fulfillment and legal abortion, and against exclusion of homosexuals, she acquired the title "Queen of Condoms". A film about potent female agitators, staunch macho men and Caribbean love lives.

In a run down neigbourhood in east LISBON (chelas), a public square undergoes rennovation work which lasts three years. In this space, designed in pink, a depressed community, concentrated on their daily routine, lives out their lives increasingly indifferent to the outcome of the interminable public works.

Da Vinci

In an operating theatre in a hospital robotic surgery department, a journey through the human body is undertaken by a specialized robot named Da Vinci. The surgeon conducts the entire operation remotely, controlling the robot’s intricate movements with a joystick.

The banquet

Right after the Red Army in 1944 was deliberating a little village, Veszto in eastern Hungary, the locals formed their "government", excommunicated the goods remaining in the village and distributed them among the poor. The social experiment only lasted two months, but this episode later became infamous in the communist press of Hungary and was referred to as 'Republic of Veszto'. 35 years later, in 1979, the actors and the witnesses, the representatives of the communist administration back then and the poors of the village get together in a little pub in Veszto and try to resuscitate and evaluate those old days. The memories clash one another.

Cassini's Grand Finale

To help visualize the dramatic final chapter in Cassini's remarkable story, NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory produced this short film that features beautiful computer-generated animation, thoughtful narration and a rousing score. Producers at JPL worked with filmmaker Erik Wernquist, known for his 2014 short film "Wanderers," to create a stirring finale video befitting one of NASA's most successful missions of exploration.

Vios

“At which point do you let go?…” – This is the central question of “Vios”, a short documentary that tracks the last days of a dog suffering from terminal cancer and how its owners struggle with the critical decision: whether or not to euthanise her. Shot over a 6-month period by the owners, Wendy and Ler, this intimate documentary is an unfettered access into the lives of the flmmakers, exposing their deepest vulnerabilities in face of this crisis, which had crushed their fnances and strained their relationship. Through their personal story, Wendy and Ler hope to create more awareness for dogs with cancer in Singapore and around the world.

As film specialists write: "From the roles played by Ulyanov, one can study the history of the country". Through his roles in film and theater, he has reflected all the periods, all the historical collusions of the Soviet Union. He has interpreted more than three hundred roles, from the simple peasant to the leaders and emperors. Being laureate of all state awards, rewarded with orders and medals, cherished by power, being himself in power, he could not "be bronze". Our film is about an actor and a remarkable man: Mikhail Alexandrovich Ulyanov.

Touran Mirhadi (Khomarloo) is the founder of Farhad School, the Children's Book Council, and the Encyclopedia for Young People. She was also actively involved with close to 20 other institutions dealing with child development and education and supported the formation of dozens of others. She is known as the preeminent architect of childhood institution and the mother of modern education in Iran. This film follows the efforts and preoccupations of Ms. Touran Mirhadi in the last four years of her life. It shows how she strove to enrich the field of child education in Iran to the age of 89, always maintaining that peace was to be cultivated at childhood.
