West-Eastern Divan Orchestra with Daniel Barenboim @ Salzburg Festival 2021

The BQE

The BQE is a mixed-media artistic exploration of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway of New York City by Sufjan Stevens. A cinematic suite inspired by the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway and the Hula-Hoop, and commissioned by Brooklyn Academy of Music, it was originally performed in the Howard Gilman Opera House in celebration of the 25th anniversary Next Wave Festival in October of 2007.

Pergolesi: Livietta e Tracollo / La serva padrona

Premiered in 1733, Pergolesi's La Serva Pedrona is a Major event in the history of opera. Due to the lightheatedness of the plot and the ordinariness of the characters – not to say their coarseness – La Serva Pedrona launched what is known today as "the Quarrel of the Comic Actors" ("la Querelle des Bouffons" in French), a quarrel that brought into conflict the advocates of the French tradition against the proponents of the Italian music, the latter gathered behing the philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau. If what they were fighting about seems trifling to the modern observer, the quarrel occasioned fierce reactions wavering between jingoistic arguements and unjustified critics of the French style. Be that as it may, La Serva Pedrona is a masterpiece, all the more so with the charmismatic Donato Di Stefano in the role of Uberto and the delightfull Patrizia Biccirè giving life to the mischievous Serpina.

Milton Nascimento "Tambores de Minas"

After appearing almost unrecognizable—significantly thinner—in the Christmas episode of Sai de Baixo, where he played Santa Claus, Milton faced criticism about his weight loss, which even sparked media rumors that he might have HIV. He decided to step away for a while and focus on creating his next work, Nascimento. To promote the album, he developed a tour with Gabriel Villela. With sets designed by Villela and Milton himself directing, the show symbolized the singer’s own rebirth. Dancers who also played percussion surrounded him onstage, performing around a giant drum at the center—an altar-like platform where Milton remained throughout the performance.

Due to psychological reasons, he cannot walk even after the fracture heals. When the Malhotras move to Dehra Dun, Raj befriends young Kajal, as both share a common passion for airplanes. Kajal encourages Raj to walk, and succeeds. Years later the two continue to be fast friends, and everyone expects them to marry soon. Then Raj is recruited by the Indian Air Force and goes for training for a year and a half. After his training gets over, he rushes to Kajal to propose to her, only to find out that she has given her heart to a multimillionaire, Karan Singhania (Verma), who owns several airplanes and choppers. Raj congratulates Kajal and Karan, but does not reveal his true feelings.
