Dragonfly

Komoro, Japan, 1956. 10-year-old Sumiko chases a red dragonfly through her family’s farm while her mother, Yoshiko, watches from a distance. Tokyo, 1945. Yoshiko, her husband, Susumu, and their baby boy, Kiyoshi, are forced to evacuate their home when hundreds of B-29 bombers drop incendiary bombs on the city, erupting into a massive fire.

Quintal

The story portrays the beginning of the friendship between Diadorim, a dreamy girl, and Riobaldo, a happy little blue bird. In an abandoned land, apparently forgotten by the big city, Diadorim and Riobaldo together seek to free themselves from the limitations imposed by the speed of everyday demands. MIRÁ's first authorial project: Núcleo de Animação da EBA/UFBA, is inspired by the work of Manoel de Barros and the poetry “Tribute to João Guimarães Rosa”.

Run Melos!

Hashire Melos! is the title of two Japanese animated films. The first was directed by Tomoharu Katsumata and released on Japanese television on February 7, 1981. It was either 68 or 87 minutes long, and its official title did not include the exclamation mark on the end. The second, with the exclamation mark, was a 107-minute remake of the first and was released on July 25, 1992. It featured direction and screenplay by Masaaki Osumi, music by Kazumasa Oda, art by Hiroyuki Okiura and Satoshi Kon, and background art by Hiroshi Ohno. Both were produced by Toei Company Ltd. Visual 80, and both were based on the original short story written by Osamu Dazai in 1940.

Living far away as an emigrant, young woman learns about her beloved grandmother’s death and dives into deep reflection. On the flight to the funeral, she must choose to repeat her parents’ cold pattern or embrace the warmth her grandmother taught her.

Storm Rider: Clash of the Evils

The film is a spin-off of the original story and the two protagonists Wind and Cloud. The residents of Sword-Worshipping Manor, which houses the best sword-smiths in the world, are brutally massacred after they are alleged to be plotting a rebellion against the government. The young master of the manor, Ngou Kuet, is the only survivor. Ngou Kuet vows to finish forging the "Kuet" Sword, a task passed down by generations of his family which has yet to be completed. Ngou Kuet attacks Tin Ha Wui and battles with Wind and Cloud to obtain the blood of the Fire Kirin which can unleash the power of the sword. As the blood of the Fire Kirin runs in Wind's veins, he becomes Ngou Kuet's primary target.

It seems Masana has broken up with Kazuya and is ready for a new relationship. Or is she? Will Kubota be so blinded by his feelings that he fails to see what is really happening? Will he even care?!
