The Cherished Man
On October 25, 1917, construction of a new world began in Russia. One of the foremost workers in this construction was the writer Andrei Platonov. But a bright and fair future, his art and literature were seen by everyone in different ways. Its truth became impossible, and the new world was not built in the way it was conceived. Demanding millions of lives for its existence, a brighter future took the life of the writer’s son, who was arrested at the age of fifteen, and then Andrei Platonov himself. The story of the creation and death of the new world in seven days.

Masks
It is difficult to characterize Slobodan Tišma. He is unique and versatile. He wanders with joy throughout the artistic landscape, drawing it with his words since the early sixties. He started as a poet, he was a conceptualist, an "invisible artist" and a rock musician ("Luna"/"La Strada"- former Yugoslav New Wave bands). Currently, he is a prose writer, and sometimes he engages in minimalistic performances. Wearing different masks he moved from one artistic space to another breaking the stereotypes and creating an aesthetic phenomenon out of his own existence. His mainstay is margin. Through trees and ocean he communicates with the universe. He loves the game of seeking, and hiding again. He is a persistent walker. With his silent steps he pops up daily in the corners of Novi Sad, searching for his own pleasure. Similar to his writings, this film has no formal completeness and comprehensiveness. It wonders who Slobodan Tišma is.

Weather Makers
The weather station on the Khodovarikha peninsula on the edge of the Russian Arctic Ocean in the Nenets Autonomous District is probably one of the loneliest workplaces in the world. Unimaginably the weather for our weather forecasts is measured there using the simplest of tools without any electronics. The residents are a professional soldier who has been retrained as a meteorologist and was traumatized in the Chechen war, his young wife, whose previous life in the world of cities and money was a brutal failure, a cancer-stricken pensioner who has returned to his birthplace, the aggressive, boozy head of the station with a dubious, possibly criminal past, and Jack, the dog. Five traumatized souls removed from society, who, in the solitude of the seemingly paradisiacal, hostile nature of the Arctic, try to deal with themselves, the absence of civilization, their human needs and shortcomings, and to master their lives.

Hotel Mokum
Pak Mokum Terug is the name of a group of Amsterdam activists that refuse to accept that the basic right to housing no longer appears to apply. The group’s name means “Take Back Amsterdam,” Mokum being the traditional nickname for a capital city in which today, for more and more people, a home is becoming unaffordable. Against this background, Hotel Mokum reports on the squatting of a dilapidated hotel in the city center, narrated in the voice of a fictitious activist.
Lennon or McCartney
550 artists were interviewed over ten years. At some point during those interviews, they were asked a question and told to answer with one word only. Some stuck to one, some said more, some answered quickly, some thought it through, and some didn't answer at all. That question… Lennon or McCartney?

Peinture fraîche
While the man in the street rarely dares to go into an art gallery, often located in the chic parts of big cities, he more easily crosses the threshold of galleries where pictures are framed. This is another type of gallery, with a less intimidating front and above all where the prices are affordable. Indeed, in these "accessible" places, you can buy a figurative painting for a moderate price, (between one thousand and ten thousand francs maximum) without knowing anything about either painting or the art market but simply because you fall in love with it. This trade has given birth to a prosperous market which produces and distributes mainly landscapes, landscapes of Provence or Brittany.
